the 'ute'
australia has some peculiarities, here's on of them. in south africa we have a thing called a bakkie, which looks like this:

in oz, on the other hand, every second person drives a 'ute':

have a look, the front has all the mod cons for a race car, chrome, low profile. and then there's the back, which has been tacked on like an afterthought. i guess it's a good car for those who want to look cool, drive fast and have a couple of sheep on the back too. :P
